Hans Reiser is the architect of ReiserFS. He went to Moscow in 1993, hired a team of programmers, and now the latest release of ReiserFS (V4) is the highest performance Linux filesystem (see www.namesys.com/benchmarks.html). The purpose of ReiserFS is to lay the storage layer foundation for adding database and search engine functionality into the filesystem namespace.
He believes globalization and equal access to source code can help a little bit to bring mankind more together.> |
