Ibrahim Haddad

Ibrahim Haddad is a Researcher at the "Research & Innovation" Unit at Ericsson Corporate Research, located in Montreal, Canada. He is involved with the system architecture of third generation wireless IP networks and guiding Ericsson Open Source contributions that promote and advance the use of Linux in telecommunications. In this capacity, he represents Ericsson on the Technical Board of the Open Source Development Labs, the Carrier Grade Linux Working Group.

Other commitments include serving as Contributing Editor to the Linux Journal and LinuxWorld Magazine as well as contributing to the Linux User & Developer and the O'Reilly Network. He has delivered a number of presentations and tutorials at IEEE and ACM conferences, Open Source forums, and international conferences.

Ibrahim has contributed to two of Richard Petersen books, the "Red Hat Linux Pocket Administrator" and the "Red Hat Enterprise Linux & Fedora Edition: The Complete Reference (DVD Ed)", published by McGraw-Hill/Osborne.

Ibrahim received his Bachelor and Master degrees in Computer Science from the Lebanese American University. He is currently a Dr. Sc. Candidate at Concordia University in Montreal researching Next Generation Internet Servers under the supervision of Professor Greg Butler. Academic awards include the J. W. McConnell Memorial Graduate Fellowship. and the Concordia University 25th Anniversary Fellowship, received in 2000.>
