Businesses and institutions are going through an unprecedented period of financial distress. We are witnessing a change to a more financially conservative approach to technology; to make more with less.
It is with this in mind that we at ISG are glad to present and organize the Linux Business Conference where we will present different solutions to help »business« through this time of economic crisis.
Linux Conference 2009. 28. and 29. September 2009 at the CongressCenter Hotel Metropol, Portorož, Slovenia
Linux and Open Source present an opportunity for Slovenian and European companies to wisely invest their money in best-of-breed, global solutions which would otherwise be spent for licenses on primarily American software. Investments are in the European Union and - like the FOSS movement encourages - adaptations and implementations of Open Source software can evolve into complete and independent information systems. In this time of recession, it is crucial that such implementations are significantly less expensive than proprietary software.
With your participation, we are organising a conference where we will present new business technologies and implementations of OSS through showcases. The program is comprised of two sections. In the first section, we will present business-oriented themes and in the second, technical issues. We welcome all professionals who would like to present their showcase of Linux and OSS solutions, many of which have become a frequent choice for big and small companies alike. At the event, you will have the chance to improve the visibility of your company and the development of OSS in general. You are kindly invited to prepare and submit your presentations!
